Thanks for checking out Old Goat DIY.
After spending over a year assembling products for stores, then seeing these stores charging people atrocious rates for home assembly, we felt the need to put some assembly videos together to help you keep your money and do it yourself.
A lot of instructions that come with products are very poorly written and sometimes steps are in an order that makes little to no sense. I will try to decipher the instructions so you don't have to, provide an easier step pattern to follow if I can, and hopefully help you accomplish the assembly by yourself and keep some of that money in your pocket.
Don't get me wrong, I'll come and do home assembly all day, the pay can be wonderful. Granted it takes longer to put something together when you're talking through the steps and even longer to edit, publish, etc but you can spend your money on other things, right?

Omg, thank you!!!
No problem
I can't see what screw your using.
Those strings on the corners are tie-downs not for the cover. There are velcro strips for attaching the top.
Yep, probably should have said I wasn't ever using mine to tie down. Throw it up at a job site, tear it down at end of day. Those straps were going to be in my way, so I secured them up.
Can you say alexa set alarm to wake me up at whatever time and the TV comes on ?
You cal say "Alexa, set alarm" and she will set that up for you. You'll need to open the app up and set a routine to be triggered after the alarm is dismissed to turn your TV on. Would be easier just to set routine to trigger at a certain time and turn TV on.
@oldgoatdiy just order the echo and wall plug
Thank you so much for this video. I am also a visual learner. I read the instructions and was so confused my head started hurting. 😂 I paused and unpaused the video so many times, but it was very helpful. I appreciate it! I saw this grill in the garden section yesterday and it said $10.74 with a yellow tag. I said, “Wow God is good!” I knew if I came back to get it, it would be gone.
Glad it was helpful!
Were your holes off centered? If so, how did you fix them? Thanx!
Leave everything loose, don't tighten anything until everything is in. Best way to prevent anything being off center
BEST, BEST video to put together my grill!!!! Thank you so very much!!!!
Thanks for the kind words, glad it was useful 😊
thank you so much. i bought this same model from marketplace but had no instructions and could only find the twin pdf online. between the two i managed it all by myself! and yes that last part was irritating lol.
wow hes not saying nothing this video is not smh.
Wasn't really done to be a tutorial. A lot of people get paid piece rate to build bikes and want to know a good time for the build.
I was the first one to stay in this house. I was passing through Gatlinburg and got a job building this cool house and stayed in it while working on it. You could cool it with an ice cube and heat it with a match, I would say because it was like a giant cooler. They brought in the enclosed hot tub and I could sit in it and see the stars at night. My brother and I would take the cutouts from the windows and doors and stand on them and ride down the river, the foam was around 5 inches thick.
Cool stuff right there 😎
That's a good idea nice job 👍👍👍
Thanks 😊
So a 2k psi nozzle a point blank range can do a good job of removing gunk on a grill grate…. Who would’ve thought that could be the case
Mine didn't come with instructions. Thanks for the video!
Np, the instructions were horrible anyway
thank you so much for not editing through the steps.
NP man, I used to enjoy following along with videos, if I'm doing something I'm not sure of. Hate pausing a lot to catch up.
Whats your tipple to drink round the fire pit bro?
Usually just kick back a couple beers.
@@oldgoatdiy tiki + Cherry Pepsi for me over 4 ice cubes... super tasty summer drink!
Might have to try that, but I do enjoy my ice spheres.
@@oldgoatdiy Captain morgans tiki rum is cheapest + best quality :)
@@oldgoatdiyhad people drink it and immediately say.. "thats delicous,.. what IS that!"... they never guess its RUM. 😂
There was also one on Ski Mountain Road in Gatlinburg. I believe it was a personal home. After it was abandoned we used to look around it and inside the windows when we were kids. It was renovated about 15-20 years ago. Love the video! Blast from the past.😎👍
Would have been cool to have lived near one as a kid. I'd have been exploring around it too back then.
Just bought this from a charity shop... looking forward to trying it for the first time this Saturday! 😊
Thank you im a visual leaner made it easy
Glad to help 😊
I thought they said not to drill it in.. is that going to affect the tv over time ?
Use a lower number on the chuck to reduce the torque. On the Hart (if using a different brand just set it lower, to save your hand/wrist) 20 is about hand tight (21 is a LOT more torque) The only real concern is over tightening by having too high of a torque, or using the wrong bolt for the TV (mainly too long of one, coupled with a higher torque). At least I'm assuming you are meaning for attaching the TV to the faceplate.
Yeah, only need a 32’ ladder a work in my hood I also learned that 250’ of line get me around all houses
Thanks!
Thank you sir 😊
You SIR, are the " MAN". I can do auto repair, but not grill assembly. Go figure . Question, ... Is the grill a good grill in the end ?
No sir, you are the man. I can not do auto repair. 🙂 As long as ya cover it or store it out of the elements, it'll last more than a decade. Have had no problems with mine.
can you put it down on after it rains? seems like since you have to water it in, it shouldnt be a big deal if its already wet?
It really isn't a big deal if the ground is wet when applying it. In fact it is recommended to do early in morning or late evening when the grass would be damp anyway. Can even get the concentrate and add water to it and apply it as a liquid. Watering it in seems to be a bit of a debate. Many experts recommend waiting 1-2 days after applying it; however, just as many experts state it should be watered in directly after applying.
De alguna manera este video si me sirvió 😊
de alguna manera eso me hace mayormente feliz
You’re my hero. The instructions made me feel like an imbecile.
Such a nice thing to say, thank you. I usually yell a few choice things at the instructions when I attempt them. Know the feeling.
Nice Video I can’t hear you because those music it’s so loud ,put the volume down
Yeah, sorry I didn't do a very good job on this one
I have had a Kobalt 80v trimmer for a couple of years and love it. Never have to add oil to gas, never have to carry can of gas, just extra battery if doing a BIG job. Generally one 2.5 AH battery will do my yard no problem. 1 acre yard, fence, house, tree curbs, etc. lots of trimming!
My 10-year-old Black & Decker battery trimmer works great. I've replaced the battery a couple of times. Much less maintenance and stress than gas versions.
Agree 💯
The question is usually whether a cordless mower can conquer foot tall grass. That cord is showing the signs of getting overloaded, the way it's going all wavy.
Naw, it's still good. It's been outside through all the weather for over a decade, I've only recently started getting zapped here and there when I touch nicked up parts. You are right, it needs replaced, but the warping could also be from sun damage and constantly getting wet then baked in the sun everyday.
@@oldgoatdiy LOL, that made me smile about getting zapped. Yeah, it still works. Use an RCD and no real need to worry.
Yep it's plugged in to one. We call it a GFCI here, not sure if it's cause we think we're special or if we just like being different.
@@oldgoatdiy I'm in the UK. I enjoy the way things are called different things in The States.
I got my brother this bike about a month ago and I’ve been looking forward into converting it to disc brakes but since I haven’t done a brake conversion could u try putting discs on the havoc fs hyper mtb?
Words of wisdom
Just assembled mine works great 👍
Awesome 👍
It probably goes without saying, but normally you might "step down" the cut (12" down to 6", then down to 3"), for a cleaner cut, and less stress on the grass. But I believe that you proved your point. I wouldn't have thought it could be done. Good job!
Definitely would, normally.
Uh do the nails come with the chair
Everything used to put the chair together, comes with it
Thanks. Is it possible to adjust the height of the front wheels?
Thanks for the demonstration and instructions!
Np, just hoping to be helpful
@@oldgoatdiy it was very helpful. Appreciate it!
Much more powerful than a battery powered mower which will shut off if it gets too warm. Sounds about as powerful as a gas mower though. Impressive.
Have that problem with my corded mower. It gets warm then I am forced to take a break.
I have both a battery-powered lawn mower and 120 volt one I haven't had that problem yet with my battery powered one yet. Yes I know it's possible
What brand did ya go with? 40v?
Getting the handle in the second notch was very difficult. I asked my brother-in-law, and after a few seconds of no success, he turned it on the side I had previously already attached and he got it in about 15-20 seconds later. I had tried for about 3 minutes or more and had no luck. Thanks for your video. After seeing how difficult of a time you had, I had only done it for another 30 additional seconds and gave up.
Kmmmmmmmmm
Sounds like something must taste good. Certainly not this video though
You just made that mower look like c***And you gotta drag a cord behind you.
It is a corded model, so yeah that's what ya do with them.
Well, sorry dude, right off the bat, it doesn't have any balls.
How so? See you make statement, but can't articulate why you feel that way.
I don't care about the science, when i was 12 electric trimmers were extension cord operated, which was so infuriating that I informally tested the length by chucking that pos over the roof, unfortunately it still worked. learned how to clean a carb just so i could go back to the old one.
I too used a corded one, almost 40 years ago and it was horrible. That was 40 years ago though, I certainly don't sit around playing my old NES anymore.
@@oldgoatdiy to be fair the 72 pin connector on the NES was more annoying to deal with than either option
@vxidastronaut sure was an improvement over Atari though. Didn't even realize NES had a 72 pin connector. Guess I'm not too old to learn new things about old stuff.
Thank yo so much for this video! I couldn't have assembled our new grill without your help! :)
Glad to be of help ☺️
I have a long stretch like that behind my fence..I use my mower for that and then cleanup the edge against the fence with my weed wacker ...
The point was, on another video several people claimed battery string trimmers couldn't handle overgrown areas. I let behind my fence grow, just to show that a battery string trimmer can handle it. Would have taken longer to know it, being that it was over 2 feet tall.
We went through it once.
I can’t do it
Take bike out of box. Insert training wheels into their place (they slide in). Turn bike and insert front wheel forks through the hole on the frame. Grab handlebars and slide into front wheel forks, give it a nice tap, then tighten the plastic nut. Unfold petals, insert seat and use locking nut thing to get it tight. Check tire pressure, add air if needed.
@@oldgoatdiy tried that still couldn’t but I’m going to see if my grandpa can do it
Well done. Thanks for keeping it real and not looking for a like or asking everyone to subscribe. I'm subscribed because you are helpful and hilariously real.
Thanks, though I should probably tell ya, for the last year I've been asking for subs on most of my videos.
I have used a 40-volt Ryobi trimmer for 2 years. Love it and never going back to gas/oil trimmers.
I need a set of these training wheels for a hand-me-down bike but I can’t find them anywhere.
I feel ya, I had to search for a couple hours to find these, just for the video.
I have both an electric trimmer and a 2-cycle. I use the electric 99% of the time. I now leave the rotary cutter installed on the gas trimmer to deadhead all of the plants and grasses my wife plants in the fall.
Thanks for the video . Very helpful
